How off-grid systems work
An off-grid system combines three things: solar panels to generate electricity, battery storage to hold that energy for when you need it, and the setup to manage energy supply across the property.
The system is sized around your energy usage, with enough capacity to cover the demands of your home or business through the day, at night, and across the year. In some cases, a backup generator can be added for periods of extended low sunlight, particularly through mid-winter.
Each system we work on is designed as a bespoke solution. No two properties have the same energy profile, and the right system for a remote holiday-let is very different from the right system for a working smallholding.
